Sometimes there aren't very many elders in a Clan. Because of that, the old WSA had NPCs (non-player characters). People create these to make sure that Clans have cats in every rank. However, NPCs don't just have to be elders. They can be of any rank.

NPCs...

Do not count as regular characters, so you do not need to put them in your signature or in a log. You do not need to RP them all the time, just every so often to add to the clan background.

Do not need big huge bios. See below.

Do get mentioned by other cats, such as: "Fluffystar walked past the elder's den and saw NPC1 and NPC2 talking animatedly" or "The medicine cat told her apprentice about NPC3's sprained ankle."

Do help your clans, so make them!
